Sundays at LCPC is a dedicated site to support the storytelling centered Sunday School at our church, Lyndhurst Community Presbyterian Church. Our effots are inspired by the ideas and lessons outlines set fourth by Michael Novelli in Shaped By the Story - Helping Sttudents Encounter God In A New Way (Zondervan 2008).
Our students are at the forefront of post-modern world. Desperately the message of God must transcend a barrage of media messages, images and spam. The story of the bible has to capture the imagination in a manner worthy of deep thought and dialogue. Sunday School @ LCPC is our attempt to do just that applying a storytelling format.
Storying for youth grows out of Chronological Bible Storying for international missionaries. How do people who have never seen a written word yet alone a bible learn deep truths about God. Through hearing and retelling Bible stories!
